Gabriella is a San Diego native and graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction. Her experience designing for some of the world’s leading surf companies has shaped her perspective on the relationship between people, technology, and their environments.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of accessibility and healthcare, exploring how technology can improve experiences for both patients and healthcare providers. She is particularly interested in ubiquitous computing and assistive technologies, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, and how they can be thoughtfully integrated into everyday life and care.

Outside of research, Gabriella loves to spend time in the ocean, camping and painting.
