holostroke

(Holo-PACS): use of holograms to improve provider acumen when reading clinical radiographic scans

Neurological Research 2026**Background And Purpose**: Vascular Neurology (VN) fellowship education in CTA interpretation is critical, given the increased opportunities for tissue salvage via neurointervention. Holo-Stroke-CTA 3D visualization has already shown improved accuracy and satisfaction for vessel occlusion detection.

Holo-Stroke-ii: Stroke care through stroke hologram teleportation- inpatient immersion

J Stroke Cerebrovasc Dis 2026Telestroke allows care irrespective of distance but has limitations in degree of immersive interaction. Augmented Reality (AR) holds promise, enabling providers and patients to interact as if in the same physical space.

Holo-Stroke-CTA: Stroke Hologram Teleportation for CTA Large Vessel Occlusion Assessments

Stroke 2025Augmented reality enables visualization of and interaction with both physical and virtual environments. Holograms can allow 3‐dimensional image transmission to distant sites, allowing patients to interact with providers as if in the same space. Our prior publication resulted in high satisfaction/immersion for patients interacting with Holo‐Stroke providers. Our aim here was to determine if providers assessing computed tomographic angiographies (CTAs) for large vessel occlusion would result in reliability and satisfaction.

Holo-Stroke: Assessing for Immersive Stroke Care Through Stroke Hologram Teleportation

Telemedicine and e-Health 2024Augmented reality enables the wearer to see both their physical environment and virtual objects. Holograms could allow 3D video of providers to be transmitted to distant sites, allowing patients to interact with virtual providers as if they are in the same physical space. Our aim was to determine if Tele-Stroke augmented with Holo-Stroke, compared with Tele-Stroke alone, could improve satisfaction and perception of immersion for the patient.
